Cranberry-Orange Cookies.

I want to share my family’s favorite cookie.  My son, John, has asked me for these for a Christmas present.   They are Ah-MAZE-ing!  You can find the recipe here: Pillsbury Cranberry-Orange Cookies

I don’t make these often because they are a bit of a pain.  You have to cut up those candied orange slices into tiny little pieces and that’s a sticky, somewhat difficult, task.  Very much worth it though!!   I save these for something special, like my son asking for them for any reason :-).

The little kids like helping because they get to snack on the orange slices as you cut them up.  Plus the frosting is fun to do too.

I wanted to share some Rodan and Fields pictures.   It really is such a great product.

Remember, this has a full money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with your results.   If you want to try a product out and not invest so much money, I would recommend the eye cream, lip serum, or microdermabrasion paste.  You can try one of these products, which you will love, and then you can test the results on yourself.   Once you see how great these products work, you will feel confident in purchasing the other products.  The Active Hydration Serum is fantastic too!  You will see visible results after one application of that hydrating fountain of youth!

My mom has been using these products.   She complained a bit about it drying out her skin.    This is a very strong skin altering skin care regime.   When I first started the Reverse Regimen, my skin actually peeled a little bit.   At the time, I was going to a professional aesthetician, getting photo-lazer to treat my rosacea, and was told I had great results with the product.   It was doing what it was supposed to.  Your face adjusts to the products.  As your skin improves and the sun damaged is corrected, the products will feel great.   When I first used the product, I had to use it only once a day and work my way up to twice daily.

Lady Eleanor

I have finally finished The Lady Eleanor stole.  I started this about 6 years ago and I’ve finished it today!  It wasn’t that it was hard, it’s just, after awhile, I get bored with a pattern and will set it aside.  I get distracted with other projects, and sometimes, it takes a while to get back to a project.  Interestingly, this is one of my favorite things I’ve knit.  I’m not sure why it took me 6 years to finally finish it.

Not sure what happens to my shawl pins either!   I seem to loose the stick that goes thru the pin.  Hence, my knitting needle as a temporary shawl pin.   I just love this! I love the rustic feel of it.  I love that you can wear it with jeans, it’s stunning.  The Entrelac pattern looks difficult, but it’s not.  You pick up stitches and it’s comprised of short rows.   You can find this pattern in “Scarf Style” by Pam Allen.  It’s a book and you can find it on Amazon.  The yarn is “Silk Garden” by Noro.

I’ve also made my grandson, Luke, a couple hats.  This is called “The Hudson Hat” by Lindsay Baker.  I found it on Ravelry.   I did not include the side ties.  I just made the hat part.

We were playing outside this weekend with the grandkids.  Can you believe our grass is still green in December?  Talk about global warming.  We’ve just lost the leaves off the trees.  You can see some still have their leaves.  Unusual weather.  We always have a good time with the grandkids.   I think I still have a small child that lives within me.  I’m great when the kids are younger.  It’s those teenage years that I’m not very good at.

My husband, Len, loves Tom Selleck.   My cousin, Jennifer, got to meet him at The Cowboy Hall of Fame for some special event.  She just became the president of the Oklahoma National Realtor’s Association.   That’s a big deal.   She’s amazing.  Beautiful personality.  I am more of an “Auntie” to them more than a cousin.  She is one of three female sister cousins.  Crazy how life and distance change things.  I don’t see any of my cousins very often.  When I do, it’s like time hasn’t passed and the love and affection remains.

Here is an updated picture of Max.  He’s about 6 months old now.  Handsome!

Last, but definitely not the least, is a picture of my son John with his son Luke.  BEAUTIFUL.  My heart is filled with love!   I don’t remember the verse, but somewhere in the Bible, it says that a woman’s children are her crown.  Watching Lauren fall in love with her baby is just so much more than words can say.  Lauren is mine.  I’ve adopted her.  I love her.  She’s my daughter and she’s my friend.  Life sure has times of despair and sadness, but right now, mine is filled with love, beauty, and happiness.
