We’ve arrived at our destination! I’ve been to several spots in Colorado and I do believe Estes Park is the prettiest place in Colorado. I thought Breckenridge was impressive (which it is impressive!). The little town was packed and in full festive spirit. We arrived to some Elk hanging out at our hotel.
This fellow was not in the mood to pose. He was busy eating. I’ve never seen Elk so close. It was wonderful!
We had just driven from Taos and happy to be here at Estes Park.

We were thrilled to see all the yarn bombing on the trees in the downtown area! It was charming!

The Wool Festival at Estes Park, CO.
The next day was our day to go to the Wool Market. The inner child that I am, had to get out and play in the yarn bombed trees on the way to the market, again!
I was thrilled to see my friend from Apothefaery Fabrications! I wrote my first blog article about her. I met her in Sapulpa, Oklahoma at a Christmas in July fiber festival. I loved her yarn. Lucky for you she has her own Etsy shop: Apothefaery. I don’t even know her name! She is based out of Arkansas and has a wonderful selection of yarn. I noticed this year she has added a lot of mohair to her line. She is so kind. She was super busy and still took the time to take a quick photo with me.

Here’s a picture of her with Jourdyn almost one year ago!

She is so whimsical and charming. You will love her yarn! Do yourself a favor and check out her Etsy Store. She has all kinds of stuff! My top 3 favorites for fine fingering yarns are Hedgehog Fibers, Barnyard Knits, and Apothefaery Fibers.

Here’s a picture of Max showing off the yarns I purchased from Apothefaery. Isn’t he handsome! He is actually recovering from a gun shot wound on his back! Well, a B.B. wound! It’s still a bullet that was shot out of a gun! Talk about Thug-life Kitty!
My next purchase was an adorable kit for fingerless gloves. This picture does not do them any justice! They are so warm and cute.
Here’s the yarn that came in the kit.

This is Linda Hellberg George

Isn’t she pretty. I love her top. Look at what a sport she is to take a picture for me. I just love fiber people. They are all so nice! I like that her projects were in kits and I didn’t have to hunt for yarn. It was all there.
Another purchase I couldn’t resist was this big beautiful ball of gradient yarn. It has a little sparkle to it.

Max missed me. He tolerated all these yarn pictures for me. LOVE.

This is Lisa Bass of White Birch Fiber Arts. She can be found at her Etsy shop White Birch Fiber Arts. It’s my first time to purchase from her, and I love what I got!
My final purchase was this beautiful piece of art!

My colors for the Brahmin Moth Shawl
I picked up a prepackaged kit and was able to change out one of the colors. Kathleen was friendly and helpful. She did a great job of helping me find exactly what I wanted. You can find her at Mode Knit Yarn

Last but not least are the animals. I would love to have a pack of Alpacas one day. Maybe. Someday.

Seriously. Have you ever seen anything cuter? Look at those eyes!

Love this guys toothy grin!
Quilters! If any of you are still with me, look at this cute outfit! I have no idea who this woman is but she was generous enough to let me take a picture of her cute outfit. There was a booth here that had smocks and aprons like this made out of quilts. I wanted to take a picture of an apron so my mother might make one for me, but I didn’t want to steal someone’s idea either. This lady was on the other side of the building. I happened to be walking with her when she discovered the booth full of outfits like the one she was wearing. Neither woman knew each other. It was fun to witness. It was like two soul sisters meeting for the first time. Cute.

I was glad to be home. I had Luke waiting for me. Bliss…
