Need your opinion

I’ve started the Brahmin Moth Shawl.  I need some constructive criticism.  I don’t know if I like my colors.  It reminds me of my high school colors.  Every time I look at the scarf, I think of Putnam City North Panthers.  I also think I’m being hypercritical.

I’ve only got one half of the scarf done.   It requires another side, mirrored just like this one, with some work to attach the two together.  I don’t know.   I go back and forth thinking it’s really pretty and will look great in the fall with jeans to all I can think of is high school.   What do you think?

See what I mean?  I think I can get over it.  It’s really a very beautiful scarf, is it not?

  1. Being a Washington Redskins fan my hubby would say the scarf is beautiful! If this reminds you of your high school days that is not a bad thing! I am sure you must have some good memories from those days. I love it and those are colors I would never pick, some times going out of our comfort zone is good. You will look amazing in your scarf as you do with all your awesome knits! Your mom would be proud of me…I have purchased over 20 new patterns and the needed material to make them to lol. Everything was on sale and that is my excuse and as they say I am sticking to it!

  2. I LIKE it, TJ. It is DIFFERENT and interesting. I watch a lady named Paukshte Lena (pock shtay leena). She is from Russia and is an amazing couture seamstress and sews for lots of people. She has a workshop and tailors. She always says, “Be different and beautiful!” That is what that scarf is.

    • Thanks Mom. You got me at “different and beautiful”. I’ve put it down to work on a baby blanket for Len’s niece. I think it will look nice in the Fall as a scarf. The sample at the store was absolutely stunning but they were out of the sample colors.
