I have my first finished project for 2020!  It’s the Scrappy Happiness Poncho by Tif Neilan of Tifhandknits.  It’s actually a test knit and will be released on Jan 22.   I will add the link here when the pattern is available.

Sandy is so affectionate.  She’s giving me a little kiss here.

My daughter, Lindy, got me these super cute tassel earrings for Christmas.  I didn’t think I would look good in them, but I LOVE them!  They are perfect with the poncho!

Tif, the designer calls this  “a party in the back” due to the fringe.   This poncho is so me!  It has lots of different colors (5 total).  You can use as many colors as you want.  It has an easy slip stitch pattern and the different color combinations kept me engaged.

I used “Paris”, “Jiminy Cricket”, “Dusty Rose”, “Merlot”, and “Primrose”.  I used the Deluxe Sparkle fingering yarn in Primrose held double to add a little glitter.

2019 was a GREAT year!  I’m so excited about 2020.  Two large companies have picked up my yarn line.  I have been kindly warned to get prepared for rapid growth!   One of the companies, KnitCrate,  ordered 20 different colors from me that will be exclusive to their online store.  (I hope I can come up with 20 different colors!)

The other company is Loops in Tulsa.  Shelly Brander, the owner, produces KnitStars!   She knows everybody in the yarn industry and she is going to introduce me to the world in February.  She is the one who warned me to get prepared to get busy.  I nodded and laughed and she pulled me aside and said, “I’m serious.  You need to prepare for rapid growth!”.   I am listening to her!

Every time I finish a new project, I have a yarn give-a-way.  I do this on Instagram.  Be sure and find me on Instagram ‘A Chick That Knitz” to enter the give-a-way!  The colors I will be giving away are the same colors in my Scrappy Happiness Poncho.

Take care friends and happy knitting!
