“Zipline Shawl” Knit Shawl Collection

"Zipline Shawl” by Layavna Patricella is a beautiful, lightweight fingering weight shawl. I opted to use an assigned pooling yarn – Turtledove – and  Onyx both on the Deluxe Sock base. 

• Deluxe Sock  85% Superwash extra-fine Merino Wool/ 15% Nylon, 2 ply, 393 yards/100gm

The pattern calls for Sport weight yarn.  I often use my Deluxe Sock base yarn for sport weight projects as it is a plump and fluffy fingering weight yarn.  The pattern also calls for two tonal color ways.   The great thing about being creative is you can use a pattern as a guideline and let your creativity make it personal to you.   I love the effect of the Turtledove color way with it's shifting colors of grey, pink, and green against the tonal black.
