Thank you for your interest in the Part-Time Yarn Dyeing position at A Chick That Knitz. Our team works very closely together, and we are looking for someone who fits well into our team dynamic. We are a hand-dyed yarn business with a large online presence along with a presence in our Edmond, Oklahoma community with regular shopping hours in our showroom.

This position’s primary responsibilities will include assisting in the dye studio – assisting with dyeing yarn, cleaning the area, washing yarn and washing dye equipment. Additionally, the candidate will assist with winding yarn, labeling yarn, placing yarn into inventory and other tasks around the studio. When needed, the dye assistant will also be interacting with customers in the showroom area. In this position, you may be asked to travel to fiber festivals.

This position is part-time starting off with three days a week – Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (this can be flexible, but these days are what we are looking for). Someone with knowledge about yarn, knitting and/or crochet is preferable, but not necessary. Individuals with attention to detail, self-starter, strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will thrive in this position.
