Composition:85% Superwash Extrafine Merino 15% Nylon Yarn (19.5 Microns)

Yarn Weight: Sock/Fingering weight, 2 ply construction

Yardage: Approx. 394 (360m) yards per 100g hank

The main factor determining the quality of merino wool is its softness which depends upon the fineness of the fibres.   The extrafine merino wool (19.5 microns) makes this yarn luxuriously soft and bouncy for next to skin comfort. A little nylon is added for extra durability.
This yarn is so versatile and can be used for any next to skin project (scarves, jumpers etc) as well as items where a little more durability is required such as socks and gloves.

Suggested Needle/Hook Sizes and Gauge:
Needle Size: 2.5 - 4mm (US 1.5 - 6) needle and C-G Hook
Gauge (stockinette stitch): 28sts x 36 rows over 10cm/4 inches on 3.25mm (US 3) needles

Care Instructions:
Hand wash using a wool detergent, ideally below 30°C, avoid wringing and twisting. Dry flat out of direct sunlight, do not spin or tumble dry.
