Patriotic Striped Shawl Hand-dyed Yarn Kit

This beautiful shawl was designed by Studio Mitsziko and my friend, Dr. Sara, adjusted the pattern to make the patriotic shawl with a few changes.

This kit comes with 5 skeins of Merino DK yarn:

• Twinkle Twinkle, blue assigned pooling x 1 skein
• Cardinal, red color way, x 2 skeins
• Pearl, white color way x 2 skeins.

Merino DK, 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 231 yards/100gm skein.  *The blue flag portion is a Sparkle DK so the stars twinkle.

The pattern is included – Sara's Patriotic Shawl. (The original pattern is the blue and white floral shawl with the white lace trim as pictured)

This is a dye to order special.  Please allow 1-2 weeks for shipping.  Although, we are pretty prompt on shipping.

**** We have personally made 2 shawls and blocked them without any bleeding.  It has been reported by a customer that when she blocked her shawl, the red bled on to the white and turned her white part pink.   You must block this in COLD water.  Warm or hot water will make the red bleed.  I also recommend using a "color catcher", available in the laundry department of your local grocery store, just in case.   You could also do a steam block with your iron which would prevent any bleeding.
