About the cowl

This cowl was designed by our good friend Dr. Sara Suthers. Dr. Sara is an avid knitter and a general surgeon. This cowl has such a elevated, sophisticated look. While she is not in surgery or spending time with her children, Dr. Sara is working on multiple knitting projects. Whether you choose the cowl or the infinity scarf, you are sure to be the talk of the town. This is a double layered cowl with a herringbone mosaic stitch on the exterior with an interior of stockinette stitch. The size is easily adjustable with this pattern. There are so many opportunities to play with color and sizing, making it a customizable project. This project has a Main Color and two Contrasting Colors.

Materials - Cowl and Infinity Scarf

• Cowl: 1 skein of main color “Sands of Time,” 1 skein of contrast color 1 “Onyx” and 1 skein of contrast color 2 “Blossom” on Singles Fingering
• Infinity Scarf: 1 skein of main color “Honey Bear,” 1 skein of contrast color 1 “Hibiscus” and 2 skeins of contrast color 2 skeins of “Sassy” on Singles Fingering
  • 400 yards/100gm by A Chick That Knitz
• US 2 & US 4 Needles: 24 inch (cowl) or 36 inch (infinity scarf)
• Gauge: 24 sts x 36 rows in stockinette
• Finished Measurements when laid flat
  • Cowl: 15.25" wide x 8.25" tall
  • Infinity scarf: 32" wide x 8.25" tall
